In this song it's basically taking about how Soulja Boy and his girlfriend(Soulja Girl) took their friendship to a new level of being friends. They took their friendship to the relationship status. In this new relationship the discover new things about each other in the song a there is a part that says " My mom picked up the phone and said you got this girl sprung, she got me sprung too, she said both of ya'll dumb, but im diggin her she diggin me and she so cute and she so lovely." When that was said in the song it was saying that they are now in love with each other now that they have been friends for so long. I like this video/song becuase it shows how a good frienship can become much more. This song dosn't really connect to my life.

Huck Finn Reader Response #3 (Ch.14-Ch.18)

What impresses Huck about the Grangerford’s house is that everything in the house is the way the house was set up, pictures, and the poems. Huck likes that the family is really together with each other and does everything as a family. What this says about Huck view of success is that he hasn’t seen a lot of success in his life.

The books in the house are so special because they remind the family of their dead daughter and how talented she was. Huck was so interested in them because the poems in the book were touching to him. What this says about Huck’s view of education is that it’s not as good as the girl who wrote these poems and that he is very interested in learning more about things so he can be as educated as her. What this says about Twain’s education is that he’s very much more educated than Huck.

The uniqueness of all the drawings is how deep and dramatic the girl shows in the drawings and poems. The girl shows in the drawings dead people. The significance of the painting was that it reminded them of the after she died. Twain describes this so specifically to show the significance of the painting. Twains view of death is general and so is his view of suicide. I think his view of art is that he likes it a lot. Huck is so touched by this girl’s life and art because he wants to know more about her.

Exam Essay

Huck Finn Essay Exam 1
One moral dilemma that Huck faced was weather or not should he turn in his friend Jim because he was a runaway slave or if he should not turn him in because then he would a have to worry about people finding him out and because Jim is Huck’s only friend at the time.
Huck’s decision is good and bad. Good because if Huck would have turned Jim in then Huck would have to worry about Jim telling everyone that Huck was not dead and that he was on his way to Cairo. Another reason it was a good idea is because if Huck was to turn Jim in then there was a possibility that then someone would fin out where Huck was at and that he was not dead. Bad because if they were to get caught then Huck and Jim both would be going to jail if not killed and because Huck felt bad that he helped Jim escape from Mrs. Watson, Huck felt bad because he said what did Mrs. Watson ever to him for him to help Jim escape. Then Huck started to have second thoughts about everything.
All in all Huck was right not to turn Jim in because now he doesn’t have to worry about anyone telling the town that he was indeed still alive and that he has just runaway in order to get away from his father and the Widow Douglas, mainly his father so that he would not continue to beat on him or try to get Huck’s money.

Reader Response 2: Huck Finn (7 - 13)

Huck Finn was influenced by Tom Sawyer by not ever giving up or backing down once starting something. An example of this is in when Huck and Jim was going aboard the abandoned ship to look for things, when they discovered the 2 men about to kill this man who was tied up, Jim wanted to go back to the skiff and Huck says “Tom Sawyer wouldn’t back out now, and so I won’t either.”(chap 12,page 51,par 3)

Huck Finn was influenced by Pap by being polite and nice to people and thinking about the well being of others. An example of this is when Huck and Jim was going along the river and going into the little towns and by food and taking a chicken that wasn’t roosting comfortable. Pap said that “it warn’t no harm to borrow things, if you was meaning to pay them back.”(chap 12,page 49,par 3)

The Widow Douglas influenced Huck Finn by teaching him good manners and to be polite to people. The Widow showed Huck that it’s not alright to steal/borrow things. An example of this is when Huck was going around borrowing food from towns and small villages. The widow said “ It warn’t anything but a soft name for stealing, and no decent body would do it.”(chap 12,page 49,par 3)

Huck is influenced by Jim because he looks at him as close a friend and he respects him and listens to what he has to say. An example of this would be when Jim said "I reckon the widow is partly right and Pap is partly right, so the best way would be for us to pick two or three things from the list and say we wouldn't borrow them anymore- then he reckoned it wouldn't be no harm to borrow the others.(chap 12,page 49,par 3)

I think that Tom Sawyer has the most negative influence on Huck because he was kind of persuading him to do bad things and saying that they were OK to do. I think that Jim had the most positive influence on Huck because he's helping to keep Huck's head straight and trying to show him the right things to do.

Reader Response 1: Huck Finn (1 - 6)

Relationship to Parents

"Here's Huck Finn, he hain't got no family- what you going to do 'bout him?" "Well, he's got a father?"says Tom Sawyer. "Yes, he's got a father, but you can't never find him, these days. He used to lay drunk with the hogs in the tanyard, but he hain't been seen in these parts for a year or more." ( ch.2,p.6,par4). Here's Huck Finn he don't have a family, what are you going to do about him? Well don't he have a father? says Tom Sawyer. Ys, he has a father, but nobody can ever find him. He used to lay drunk with the hogs in the tanyard, but nobody has seen him here for a year or more.

What i think about the quote and this theme is that Huck dosn't claim his father because he was never there for him when he needed him and he might be ashamed of his father becuase he's a drunk and thats what everybody see's him as. I can't relate this to my own life becuase I have a good relationship with my parents.

What i think Mark Twain thinks about this quote and is that not all kids get along with their parents. They don't along with their parents because they're not there for them and so they dont't care weather they die or not. I think maybe Mark Twain didnt get along with his mother or father so he maybe wrote that quote the way he did.
